After performing “You Should Be Here” on the Grand Ole Opry last night, Cole Swindell received news that the song has now had one billion impressions — a sum of radio airplay, on-demand streaming and digital track sales. That’s just one feat in a long line of career-catapulting moments in the Georgia native’s career since going from little-known songwriter to platinum-selling chart-topper in a matter of just a few years.

Swindell is spending the summer on Florida Georgia Line’s Dig Your Roots tour, playing to massive stadium crowds. But come fall, he’ll scale it down. The singer’s third annual Down Home tour, presented by CMT, will hit smaller clubs and venues — whether that’s in huge cities like New York or tiny towns like Oxford, Mississippi. The tour kicks off October 26th in Tulsa, Oklahoma, wrapping December 16th in Greenville, South Carolina. (A full list of tour dates, which is expected to expand, can be found here.) Swindell’s opening acts will be Cole Taylor, Travis Denning and Jon Langston.

Once again, the singer-songwriter will release an EP in conjunction with the tour. Down Home Sessions Three is set for release on October 28th.
