George ‘The Animal’ Steele, Wrestling Legend, Dead At 79

George “The Animal” Steele, the charismatic wrestler known for his body hair, green tongue and a taste for eating the stuffing out of turnbuckles, has died while in hospice care at the age of 79. His death was confirmed by the WWE over Twitter.

While a cause of death has yet to be revealed, Steele endured medical problems brought on by Crohn’s, including having his colon removed in 2002.
