Nirvana Songs Get Bluegrass Treatment On Inspired New Album

Nirvana goes… country? Kurt Cobain(who would’ve turned 50 earlier this month) experimented with blues and folk music but bluegrass wasn’t exactly his thing. However, many of Nirvana’s tracks will get a country makeover as a bluegrass band from Alabama incorporates banjos and mandolins in their renditions of Nirvana’s hits.

Pickin’ on Nirvana: A Bluegrass Tribute Featuring Iron Horse transforms 11 Nirvana classics like “All Apologies,” “Come As You Are” and “In Bloom” into bluegrass numbers.
